Maze Moisture Sensing Irrigation System: The Self-Contained Plant Irrigation System

The Maze Moisture Sensing Irrigation System is an innovative, self-contained plant irrigation system that doesn't require timers or batteries. It uses 12 ceramic sensors to sense the relative osmotic pressure of the soil and determine the need for water in the surrounding area. When the soil is too dry, the valve in the sensor opens, allowing water to pass through its adjoining dripper. Conversely, when the soil is sufficiently saturated, the valve closes to stop water from flowing. Each water sensor works independently of its neighbor to ensure that plants or flowers with differing moisture requirements are independently catered to. The system is compatible with water tanks, mains pressure (with a pressure reducer), or water pumps (also with a pressure reducer).

Features and Benefits

  • Fully automatic watering system: The system doesn't require timers or batteries and is fully automated to provide hassle-free plant irrigation.
  • Ceramic water sensors: The system uses 12 ceramic sensors to detect the moisture content of the soil and adjust watering accordingly.
  • Each sensor works independently: To cater to individual plant needs, each water sensor works independently of its neighbor to ensure that plants or flowers with differing moisture requirements are taken care of.
  • Maintains the optimal soil moisture content: The system ensures that the optimal soil moisture content is maintained for each growing area, resulting in healthier plants and better yields.
  • Works with different water sources: The system is compatible with water tanks, mains pressure (with a pressure reducer), or water pumps (also with a pressure reducer), making it versatile and easy to use.
  • Easy to install: The system can be easily installed with just a few simple steps.

How to Use

  1. Unscrew the green watering head and place the ceramic sensor in the water for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Screw the watering head back together underwater, tightening it firmly down to the ring.
  3. Insert the Watering Sensor in the soil near the roots, pushing it down to the depth indicated and leaving a gap of about 20 to 25 cm between each Watering Sensor.
  4. Put the Watering Sensor with the end-piece at the end of the installation. If necessary, take off the T-piece and replace it with the end-piece.
  5. Take the feeding tube and cut off pieces of the appropriate length and use them to connect the individual Watering Sensor inserts. Take the tube pieces and push them firmly onto the T-pieces of the Watering Sensors. Make sure the tube is firmly in place.

IMPORTANT: It is essential to water the soil several times before fitting the individual Watering Sensors.
